Last year I sourced several wild collected Begonia seed pods. Of the hundreds upond hundreds of plants that I grew out, I chose my favorites to clone. This is my favorite among all of them.
🎉Survived the full heat of central Florida summer. Consistent 90-95°F highs without break. Every other species from the imported seed batches started dying after a month of those temps.🎉
The colors are fantastic, and even my phone does a poor job at it. The spots are metallic silver, and the colors seem to have an iridescent sheen. I doubt you'll be disappointed with this one. Bonus on that it has proven quite resilient!
Good airflow
High humidity** (can be acclimated lower to around 40%RH)
Keep roots moist, not soggy
70°F to 90°F is the likely sweet spot for good growth, has survived fine down to 45°F overnight lows for me.
Medium light
Well drained potting media
Clay/organic/mixed substrates with good drainage.
