Care information

*Micrechites serpyllifolius* is a twining vine in the Apocynaceae family, native to Borneo, Sumatra, and surrounding regions. It is characterized by its small, opposite, rounded to elliptic leaves and thin climbing stems. Like other members of the genus, it produces aerial roots at nodes to help with climbing, and its foliage remains relatively small compared to some related species.

**Light Requirements:** Bright, indirect light. Can tolerate medium light but grows more vigorously with stronger filtered light.
**Humidity Requirements:** Moderate to high, 60–85%. Performs best in terrarium or greenhouse setups.
**Temperature Range:** 65–85°F (18–29°C). Keep above 60°F (16°C).
**Growth Habit:** Slender climbing or twining vine with small, opposite rounded leaves. Produces aerial roots along the nodes.
**Soil:** Well-draining tropical mix with fine bark, perlite, or sphagnum. Can also be trained on trellises or mounted.
**pH:** Slightly acidic to neutral, 5.5–6.5.
**Size:** Leaves typically 2–4 cm; vines elongate extensively when given space and support..
