A rarely offered epiphytic plant from Southeast Asia, *Pachycentria cf. pulverulenta* grows in small, bushy clusters on mossy branches in humid forest canopies. It produces rounded leaves along arching stems, with a growth habit that's more upright than vining. In cultivation, it does best when mounted and kept in high humidity, where it can slowly develop into a tidy, compact form.
You will receive a similarly sized, but non-exact **unrooted cutting**. Shipped bare and unrooted. Mounting and high humidity are recommended to encourage rooting.
**Light Requirements:** Low to moderate, indirect light.
**Humidity Requirements:** Very high, 65–100%. Best grown in enclosed environments.
**Temperature Range:** 70–85°F (21–29°C). Keep above 65°F (18°C).
**Growth Habit:** Upright epiphyte. Grows in small, bushy clusters along branches or mounts.
**Soil:** Not suited for soil. Mount on cork, bark, or driftwood with sphagnum moss at the base. That's the official stance but I've successfully grown it terrestrially. Just keep it porous and airy.
**pH:** Slightly acidic to neutral, 5.5–6.8.
**Size:** Slow-growing. Typically stays compact but can form a spreading mound over time.
****This plant develops cystoliths, the small speckled growths are not pests/disease
