Care information

*Pothos* sp. Riau is an unidentified true *Pothos* in the Araceae, separate from the commonly sold “pothos” in *Epipremnum*. The Riau label should be treated as a locality or collection name from Sumatra, Indonesia, rather than a formal species name. The plant produces slender climbing stems with narrow, elliptic green leaves held close to the stem. Nodes produce roots when kept against moss, bark, cork, or a humid background surface, and the plant is best grown vertically rather than as a loose trailing vine.

You will receive a single cutting, grower’s choice. Listing photos are representative of the approximate size and form you will receive.

**Light Requirements:** Bright, indirect light to light shade. Avoid direct sun.
**Humidity Requirements:** Moderate to high, approximately 60–85 percent.
**Temperature Range:** 65–85°F (18–29°C). Keep above 60°F (16°C).
**Growth Habit:** Small root-climbing aroid with node-rooting stems; best grown on moss, bark, cork, or a humid vertical surface.
**Soil:** Chunky, well-draining aroid mix with bark, perlite, and organic matter; also suitable for mounted culture.
**pH:** Slightly acidic to neutral, approximately 5.5–7.0.
**Size:** Juvenile leaves are typically 1–5 cm long; stems elongate gradually as the plant climbs.
