GenusRuellia
Care information
Tentative ID of the variable species terminalis, from eastern Ecuador.
Grows upright, slowly on a sturdy stem. Flowers periodically for me, and my mother plant (NFS last photo) is about 10 inches tall, so it doesn't get too out of control.
This plant produces pearl bodies or
crystoliths on the leaf surfaces. That isn't a plant pest!
You will receive a similar, but non-exact plant. They all look quite similar. Shipped bare-root.
Unknown humidity requirements, though it has done well outdoors in Z10a FL with dips to the low 20%RH.
Low to medium light
